Teens, Adolescents & Play Therapy
Growing up can be hard — especially when kids and teens are facing anxiety, trauma, big emotions, or difficult life changes. At Richmont Trauma Center, we offer counseling that meets young people where they are, helping them feel safe, seen, and supported.
We work with children ages 12 and up, using age-appropriate, trauma-informed approaches that help them express what they’re going through. We use creative approaches like play therapy, art therapy, and movement to help adolescents express themselves and work through difficult feelings. Our center features a specially curated teen room — a welcoming space designed to help them feel safe, heard, and open to healing. Whether they’re dealing with stress, self-esteem, or big life transitions, we’re here to help them build resilience, find healthy ways to cope, communicate what is inside of them with the adults in their lives, and move toward adulthood with the tools they need to build emotionally and relationally healthy lives. For teens, we’ve created a space designed just for them — a welcoming, thoughtfully curated teen room where they can feel comfortable opening up and being themselves.
We believe that early support can make a lasting difference. Whether your child is struggling with anxiety, school stress, family changes, or emotional regulation, we’re here to help them build confidence, resilience, and healthy ways of coping.
