Closer Look

We believe that anyone in pain has two basic goals: to manage their suffering and to prevent further harm. This is the heartbeat of what it means to be trauma-informed. As leaders within the mental health industry, we serve from a place of deep awareness, knowing that the people we support deserve the highest expertise and heart-felt compassion.

Our commitment to being agents of change within our city has led us to a position of influence we do not take lightly. From in-session counseling to community and professional training to clinical supervision, we are honored to be trusted experts within both our city and our industry.

No matter where you are on your healing journey — surviving, rebuilding, or learning to thrive — we’re here to walk with you at a pace that honors your nervous system and to support you through every season of your growth.

What Sets Us Apart

Trauma therapy is a specialized approach to counseling that goes much deeper than traditional talk therapy. Our therapists are extensively trained to understand the complex, multidimensional nature of trauma and its profound impact on the mind and body. While we are equipped to work with high-acuity cases, our evidence-based, integrative care model also supports clients navigating a broad range of emotional, mental, and relational challenges.

Expertise - Quality Care You Can Trust

Every clinician at Richmont Trauma Center pursues multiple advanced trainings, including specialized trauma-specific credentials.

Our Team- Devoted, Compassionate Healers

For our therapists, trauma counseling isn’t just a profession – it’s a calling. We approach each client with deep respect, empathy, and clinical integrity. To ensure the highest standards of care, our team is supported by three experienced clinical supervisors.

Involvement - Commited to our Community

As a non-profit, we’re committed to being on the front lines of healing – both for individuals and communities. That’s why we’ve partnered with local organizations to serve trauma-impacted populations in underserved areas.

Why We Are Passionate About Trauma-Informed Care

Our passion for trauma-informed care was born from a deep awareness of how trauma impacts not just individuals, but relationships, families, and communities. When our founders saw how profoundly people can grow and heal through trauma-informed care, they were inspired to join forces in providing compassionate, expert support to those who need it most. What started as a vision among leading trauma counselors has grown into a center of healing, training, and outreach.

We believe wounds can be redeemed. Hope and healing are possible, and we are here to help the clients and communities we serve achieve post-traumatic growth.

"Mental health problems don't define who you are. They are something you experience. You walk in the raing and you feel the rain, but you are not the rain" - Matt Haig

Why our clinicians choose to work with us

Therapy Services

Mental, emotional, and relational wounds can be devastating. Through somatic, attachment-based, and polyvagal-informed counseling, we help wounded individuals make peace with what happened to them and work toward post-traumatic growth.

Training and Education

Advanced training is a hallmark of our organization. We heavily invest in our therapists’ on-going education beyond the industry’s annual CEU requirements. We also train the next generation of trauma-informed therapists through
our internship program.

Community Outreach

Through our community outreach programs our courageous team of therapists are able to provide much needed therapy support to our community partners, including schools, ministries, social service agencies, and international non-profits.
