Attachment Informed
Attachment Informed
Healthy relationships and meaningful connection are at the heart of what it means to be human—and are essential to our ability to flourish. At the Richmont Trauma Center, our work is deeply grounded in attachment science because we understand that relationships are not just important—they are foundational to human development, healing, and long-term well-being. While early attachment experiences profoundly shape how we relate to ourselves and others, attachment is not fixed in childhood. Our adult relationships continue to influence our sense of safety, identity, and emotional regulation. Disruptions in these connections—whether early in life or later through loss, betrayal, or trauma—can significantly impact our mental and relational health. Through attachment-informed therapy, our clinicians help clients make sense of these patterns, support clients as they relational wounds, and cultivate secure, life-giving connections with those they care about and do life with.
