It's understandable and yet unsettling to wake up one day and realize the profound impact previous experiences have had on your life. Slowly, weeks pass, auto-pilot sets in, and time starts to blur. As a trauma-informed therapist, I'm here to provide compassionate support for individuals, families, and couples coping with complex trauma, grief/loss, depression, chronic illness/pain, relational struggles, and spiritual concerns. Many individuals have sharpened survival skills throughout their journey, and together in counseling, we can cultivate new skills to actively engage in and enjoy life. My research involving chronic pain patients informs my approach, allowing me to address the unique challenges individuals may face on their journey to healing and well-being. I use somatic therapy techniques for heightened body awareness and a deep mind-body connection, drawing inspiration from person-centered, existential, and psychodynamic theories.
