I am a trauma-informed therapist drawing from neuroscience, attachment theory, emotional biology, and family systems to inform my therapeutic work. I have received extensive training in understanding how trauma becomes embedded in the nervous system, and how that impacts one’s self-concept, relationships, ability to process emotions, and overall daily functioning. Clients describe me as having a warm, authentic, and calming presence, and am skilled at articulating what we know in our bones but struggle to articulate.

As a hermit crab outgrows its shell and leaves it for a more spacious home, so must we. Often we go to therapy when our lives stop working for us. It's in this place that I welcome you. I will be with you as you explore what your heart needs you to shed, where your heart is asking you to go, and the vulnerability of being in the in-between

About Hope

I practice a model of therapy called Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP). As an AEDP therapist, I understand depression, anxiety, and the like as symptoms of a deeper disconnection from our internal world. I primarily focus on helping people identify, understand, process, and draw wisdom from our emotions, so that we can live more connected to ourselves and the world around us.

I am passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ folks. Sexuality can be a rather tumultuous arena to navigate, as it is entwined with the most important and intimate parts of our lives. I work to create a safe and generous space for folks to process their sexuality.

I am particularly interested in the intersection of sexuality, faith, and mental health. The legacy of religious institutions regarding LGBTQIA+ people is tragic, and I strongly believe in the importance of allowing LGBTQIA+ folks to express their pain, process their grief, and explore their faith in light of their experiences.
